DAYTON, OHIO -- Marshall Kapp, J.D., M.P.H., received the 2000 President's Award of the American College of Legal Medicine (ACLM). The award recognizes Kapp's service as chair of the ACLM ethics committee.
Kapp is professor of community health and psychiatry and director of the Office of Geriatrics and Gerontology at Wright State University School of Medicine. A nationally recognized authority on medicine and the law, Kapp is a fellow of the ACLM.
The American College of Legal Medicine is the official organization for professionals who focus on the important issues where law and medicine converge. ACLM is a professional community of physicians, attorneys, health care professionals, administrators, scientists, and others with a sustained interest in medical legal affairs. ACLM's mission includes educating and assisting healthcare and legal professionals, advancing the administration of justice, and influencing health policy and improving health care.
