DAYTON, OHIO -- Janet Grant has been appointed senior consultant in the Division of Health Systems Management at Wright State University School of Medicine. In this capacity she will coordinate the division's health systems consulting and other special projects.
With more than17 years of progressive leadership experience in health care, Grant comes to Wright State from Kettering Medical Center, where she developed and managed a service line targeted to the senior population. She is a licensed social worker and is completing an MBA at Wright State.
Wright State's Division of Health Systems Management was launched in 1999 with a $2.5-million gift from Dayton philanthropist Oscar Boonshoft. Its mission includes consulting with corporate employers, health care organizations, and physician practice groups, conducting research in health services, population-based health care, preventive medicine, and developing educational programs in healthcare management for Wright State medical students, residents, and community physicians. The division also is involved in promoting a better understanding of health care public policy issues, especially universal health care for the population. It was established in Wright State's Department of Community Health.
