BEAVERCREEK, OHIO-The Class of 2006 at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine is sponsoring a charity golf outing that will benefit Reach Out of Montgomery County. The afternoon of golf - Drive for a Difference - will be held on Friday, May 19, 2006, at the Beavercreek Golf Club, 2800 New Germany Trebein Road, Beavercreek, Ohio. Local sports caster Jack Pohl of WDTN-TV 2 news is serving as media sponsor for the event. The event is open to the public, but pre-registration is required.
Reach Out provides free health care services at several locations throughout the community to underserved and uninsured residents. Reach Out is a collaboration between the Montgomery County Medical Society, the Combined Health District of Montgomery County, Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, area hospitals and other community groups and organizations.
The benefit begins at the Beavercreek Golf Club at 11:30 a.m. for check-in and a light lunch, with a shotgun start held at 1:00 p.m. The cost per person for the full slate of events is $90.00 (golf clubs/golf balls not included.) Ninety percent of the proceeds will benefit Reach Out with ten percent supporting class activities.
