Gregory Toussaint presented the Teaching Excellence Award by the graduating class of 2008 at WSU's Boonshoft School of Medicine

DAYTON, OHIO-Gregory J. Toussaint, M.D., was presented with the Teaching Excellence Award by the Boonshoft School of Medicine's Class of 2008. Awards were presented during the graduation ceremony held May 30, at the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center in Dayton.

Toussaint is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Boonshoft School of Medicine, has been a member of Wright State's faculty since 2005, and serves as medical director for inpatient general pediatrics at Children's Medical Center.

He holds a B.S. from the U.S. Air Force Academy, and an M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia. Toussaint completed a pediatric residency at Wilford Hall U.S. Air Force Medical Center in San Antonio, served as a flight surgeon to the USAF Aerospace Medicine Course at Brooks AFB, Texas, and completed a general academic pediatric fellowship at Children's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a U.S. Air Force Colonel Retired.

The Teaching Excellence award is chosen and presented by the graduating class to the faculty member who displayed outstanding professional skill and pride in discharging his instructional duties.
