Boonshoft School of Medicine to offer seminar for emergency services personnel

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine is offering two one-day seminars in December for emergency medical services (EMS) personnel who want to learn more about human anatomy and basic and advanced prehospital procedures.

The Cadaver Anatomy Procedure (C.A.P.) Lab seminars will be offered on Wednesday, Dec. 3, and Thursday Dec. 4, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Boonshoft School of Medicine in White Hall on the campus of Wright State University. Sign-in begins at 7:30 a.m.

Participants receive hands-on experience, have the chance to handle specimens and gain a detailed working knowledge of the human body. This is achieved through intense training led by emergency medicine faculty and residents.

The Department of Emergency Medicine has offered the C.A.P. Lab at Wright State University since 2006. Eight continuing education credits will be provided to all participants who complete the course.

The cost is $65 per person and includes breakfast and lunch. Advance registration is required. For more information, contact Cassandra Browning at cassandra.browning@wright.edu or (937) 395-8839.
