Social Justice in Medicine: A Multi-Center Anti-Racism Research Collaborative
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Boonshoft School of Medicine is proud to be the founding clinical site for Social Justice in Medicine. Over 12 Ob/Gyn Departments from across the country participate in this multi-center research collaborative whose mission is to identify and create solutions for race-based inequities across our field. Current areas being investigated include: management of indeterminate fetal heart rate tracings, medical student and resident recruitment and education, patient-lead bedside huddles on Labor and Delivery, role of immigration status and racial inequities in obstetric outcomes, and outpatient management of abnormal uterine bleeding.
