Internal Grant Opportunities

Boonshoft School of Medicine Seed Grant

The Boonshoft School of Medicine Seed Grant (BSG) program provides funding for research projects, particularly collaborative projects, which have the potential for scientific growth and impact. The BSG will fund investigators seeking to demonstrate proof of concept required to obtain extramural funding. Preference will be given to innovative start-up research projects for which pilot data funding may be difficult, but advantageous, to obtain.

Bridge Grants

Note: Applications for Bridge Grants are not being accepted at this time.

From time to time there may be a limited amount of funds available to provide Bridge Grants to highly productive investigators, with a strong track record of external grant funding, who find themselves in between grants. The purpose of these Bridge Grants is to provide the investigator with sufficient funds to allow work to continue in their laboratory in order to secure the next round of external grant funding. Specific application process and terms apply. Please contact the Office of Research Affairs to schedule a meeting with the associate dean to discuss the application process.

Matching Funds for Equipment

The Action Fund, a program of the Ohio Board of Regents, offers matching funds for equipment costing at least $250,000.
