Medical student wins Edie Moore Student Travel Scholarship

Morgan Alexander, a third-year medical student from Georgetown, Ohio, has been awarded the 2019 Edie Moore Student Travel Scholarship from the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine. The award is for students and post-graduate trainees interested in pursuing careers in adolescent health or medicine.

The scholarship will support registration and up to $500 of travel expenses to attend the 2019 Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., March 6-9, 2019.

The theme of the 2019 annual meeting is “Psychological Well-Being: International Transcultural Perspectives.” Alexander and other attendees will learn about the central components of emotional and psychological well-being while uncovering how adolescent health and medicine professionals can promote well-being among patients.

More information is available on the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine website.
