Division of Health Systems & Policy

Welcome

The Division of Health Systems and Policy (HSP) is the primary academic home for Boonshoft School of Medicine (BSOM) faculty in the disciplines of health economics, informatics, policy, ethics, management, and leadership. Faculty are located in the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences Education Center (3123 Research Blvd., Kettering, Ohio) as well as on main campus and in the community.

HSP faculty provide consultation and collaborate with other BSOM and university departments in the areas of education, research and service.  Many of the Division’s faculty are course directors for graduate-level courses and electives in the above disciplines.

The division administers the Health Care Management Concentration in conjunction with the Raj Soin College of Business as part of its Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree. The division also houses three graduate certificate programs: Health Care ManagementEmergency Public Health, and Public Health Leadership.  The director of the Division of Health Systems and Policy is John McAlearney, PhD.
