The Division of Health Systems and Policy (HSP) is the primary academic home for all Boonshoft School of Medicine faculty in the disciplines of health economics, health informatics, health policy, health ethics, health systems management, community health and health leadership. Faculty are located in the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences Education Center (3123 Research Blvd., Kettering, Ohio) as well as on the main campus and in the community.
HSP faculty provide consultation to, and collaborate with, other medical school and university departments. They also are responsible for the core Health Resource Management and Policy course in the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) program as well as several M.P.H. electives. The division offers the Health Care Management Concentration for the Raj Soin College of Business Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree. The division also houses three graduate-level certificate programs: Health Care Management, Public Health Emergency Preparedness, and Public Health Leadership. Reach Out of Montgomery County is a community-based, direct service program housed within the division. The director of the Division of Health Systems and Policy is John McAlearney Ph.D.
