Plastic Surgery Residency Program

Residents have multiple avenues to gain exposure to pre- and post-op care of patients.  We maintain several multi-disciplinary clinics as well as a resident plastic surgery clinic. In addition, residents see patients in the private offices of clinical faculty to have the opportunity to do pre- and post-op care.

Good Samaritan Hospital Resident Clinic

This clinic runs all day on Mondays.  Residents treat hand, trauma, breast surgery, aesthetic medicine and general reconstruction.  The average volume currently is approximately 35 patients per clinic.

Burn Clinic

The burn clinic runs on Tuesday mornings.  Dr. Johnson sees burn reconstruction, post-op microsurgery and lower extremity flaps.  The average volume is 10-15 patients per week.

Dayton Children’s Medical Center Cleft/Lip Palate Clinic

Dr. Salim Mancho and Dr. Steven Schmidt lead this clinic.  The average volume is 30 patients per month.

Dayton Children’s Medical Center Pediatric/Plastic Clinic

Dr. Salim Mancho runs this clinic on Tuesdays.  The average volume is 60 patients per month.
