Internal Medicine Interest Group
The mission of the Boonshoft School of Medicine Internal Medicine Interest Group (IMIG) is to provide students with information about the field of internal medicine, to introduce them to physicians in internal medicine specialities and subspecialties, and to promote the profession of internal medicine. IMIG fulfills this mission by hosting speaker events featuring medical school and community residents, fellows and physicians; setting up shadowing opportunities at Kettering Medical Center; and promoting opportunities for students to submit abstracts to American College of Physicians (ACP) research competitions.
All medical students, regardless of interest, are welcome to attend the informational meetings and frequent panel discussions hosted by IMIG.
Membership
Membership in IMIG is free and includes membership in the American College of Physicians. IMIG members receive the ACP newsletter and information about the organization’s activities.
