Boonshoft School of Medicine December Medical Student Research Seminar

On December 3, 2024, the BSOM Office of Research Affairs and BSOM Chapter of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) hosted a Medical Student Research Seminar in White Hall. The seminar was hosted by AMSA student representative Jed Speers and moderated by Assistant Professor of Geriatrics and Medical Education Dr. Lindsay Benedik. The student presenters and their topics were:
Samantha Doehring, MS2, and Anes Gadun, MS2: “Orthopedic Externships for Underrepresented High School Students: Early Exposure and Interest in Medicine.”
Bailey Stammen, MS3: “Sun Protection Awareness: Assessing Sun Safety Knowledge Among Rural Elementary Students.”
David Buchinsky, MS2: “Scrotal Cellular Angiofibroma: A Case Report and Review of Literature.”
The next seminar will be on February 12, 2025 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in White Hall 101. The application to present closes on January 15. Apply to present.
