Dr. Brian Springer serves as physician at Dayton NATO Conference

Dr. Brian Springer, DEM Interim Chair (WSU EM 1998), served as the Tactical Emergency Physician for the Dayton Police Department SWAT Team at the Dayton NATO Summit on May 22-26, 2025.
Dr. Springer was assigned to the SWAT Quick Reaction Force, staged for immediate response to protect Summit dignitaries and other attendees both on-site at NATO Village in downtown Dayton, as well as off-site locations, such as the Dragons Day Air Ballpark, Dayton Art Institute, and Museum of the United States Air Force.
