Biography:

Hi, I'm Katie. I have lived in many places over the last several years including Indiana, Utah, and Wyoming but I am happy to call Dayton home. I chose Wright State for residency and fellowship because of the robust therapy experience that is provided as well as the supportive environment that the program builds. Outside of work you can find me spending time with my family, exploring one of Dayton's many metro parks, or with my nose buried in the latest fantasy book. 

Biography:

I'm originally from a small town in northwest Ohio called Haviland, growing up with corn fields and square country miles. I completed my undergraduate degree at Bowling Green State University, then went on to medical school at the University of Toledo. I stayed at UT for my adult psychiatry residency, and I am now thrilled to be completing my fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Wright State because this program has a huge emphasis on psychotherapy and exposure to IOP and PHP programs. Outside of medicine, I love knitting, watching Formula 1 racing with my family (hoping for a Charles Leclerc championship!), and traveling with my husband and son. I'm new to PC gaming, but enjoying this new hobby as well! It's been such an easy transition into this program, and everyone here is kind and welcoming. I couldn't have asked for a better program.

Biography:

Hello! My name is Sirtaj, and I originally grew up in Arizona, went to college in Maryland, and then went to the University of Toledo for medical school and residency in general psychiatry before coming to Dayton for CAP Fellowship. I am so glad I chose to come here for fellowship given the breadth of pathology we are exposed to, the focus on teaching and learning with non-resident/fellow dependent rotations, and a warm culture that promoted exemplary work-life balance! Outside of work, I enjoy lifting weights, going to meditation retreats, spending time with my wife and two cats, and partaking in the annual Cincinnati Coffee Battle!

Biography:

I grew up in Eagle Idaho, and earned my undergraduate degree in Middle Eastern Studies with a focus in Arabic before attending Kansas City University (KCU) for medical school. After graduation, I completed two years of surgical training and then served for two more years as a Flight Surgeon in the U.S. Air Force. Those experiences ultimately led to a career in psychiatry, starting at the Wright State University program where I discovered a specialty that perfectly aligns with my interests and values. I was thrilled to continue my training within the same department in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, drawn by the exceptional mentorship and outstanding psychotherapy training offered by this program. Outside of training, I love spending time with my family, going for runs, and taking advantage of all the fantastic metro parks we have here in Dayton.
