The Department of Neuroscience, Cell Biology, and Physiology in the College of Science and Mathematics and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Boonshoft School of Medicine have collaborated to bridge the gap between lab advancements and patient care at Miami Valley Hospital.

On November 17, the Department of Emergency Medicine, in conjunction with the BSOM Emergency Medicine Interest Group and the WSU National Center for Medical Readiness, hosted a mass casualty incident response exercise at Calamityville in Fairborn. 

The Academy of Medicine Annual Dinner and Distinguished Guest Lecture will take place on April 10, 2025, at the Yankee Trace Golf Club in Centerville.

This Sunday, November 17, the Department of Emergency Medicine and the BSOM Emergency Medicine Interest Group will be running a mass casualty incident training exercise at Calamityville in Fairborn from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

The Executive Committee recently approved two policy updates, including Conflict of Interest Policy 121 and Inclement Weather Policy 1320.

Pharmacology and Toxicology's Vice Chair and Associate Professor Dr. Terry Oroszi was part of a group of 22 international experts, including trauma surgeons and child psychologists, that convened at the Engelsberg Ironworks in Sweden

Shanna Stryker, M.D., M.P.H., class of 2013, gave a TEDx talk titled "The Antidote to U.S. Asylum Denials" at the University of Cincinnati.

Maram Abuhaidar and Nick Daskalakis, MS2s, spent two weeks in Ecuador learning about patient care and the overall health care system of the nation, learning many nuanced differences about patient-doctor relations and technology throughout the region.
