In June, the State Board of Emergency Medical, Fire, and Transportation Services approved the initiation of blood and blood products by paramedics as an “added competency” to be included in the Ohio EMS scope of practice.
Dr. Marietta Orlowski, professor and chair of Population and Public Health Sciences, was awarded the 2024 Health Educator of the Year by the Ohio Society of Public Health Education (SOPHE) chapter.
