Internship
The Cardio-Renal Institute Summer Program (CRISP) at Wright State University is a competitive, immersive internship designed to prepare the next generation of biomedical researchers. Focused on the intersection of cardiovascular and renal health, CRISP provides hands-on research experience paired with meaningful clinical exposure, giving students a well-rounded foundation in cardio-renal science.
Over eight weeks, scholars collaborate on team-based research, engage with nephrologists in clinical settings, and learn directly from faculty through a structured lecture series. With dedicated mentorship and a dynamic, in-person environment, participants gain both the technical skills and real-world insight needed to thrive in biomedical careers.
CRISP Scholars also receive a stipend and support to present their research at a scientific conference, culminating in a final presentation that highlights the impact of their work, making this program a powerful launchpad for future leaders in medicine and research.
