(Welcome to Education, Life, and Leisure) Weekend in Marco Island, Florida, February 1-4, 2018 at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort. This year’s event will feature a two-day CME symposium, a shelling adventure to a secluded island by boat, an evening beach party, and more! The world-class resort on Marco Island offers an exhilarating retreat from the ordinary, and an unforgettable experience whether traveling for business or leisure. Thursday and Friday Shelling Excursion

Experience the relaxing and cool Gulf waters aboard the Calusa Spirit! This 49-passenger power catamaran departs directly from the sugar sand beach of the Marriott and will transport you to a whole new world—the Ten Thousand Islands! This ecosystem is comprised of thousands of mangrove estuaries, and is full of beautiful and unique wildlife. The Calusa Spirit calmly navigates the backwaters in search of dolphin, manatee, and bald eagles—and upon arrival at Cape Romano, explore the secluded beach in search of the most ornate seashell treasures! This exclusive excursion will be offered on Thursday and Friday at 2 p.m.

Friday Night Luau

Kick off your shoes, and join us in the sand at our beach party. Watch the sunset and enjoy tropical island food while connecting with alumni, friends, and their families.

Saturday Afternoon at Naples Beach Brewery

As Southwest Florida’s first microbrewery, Naples Beach Brewery employs a community-focused approach to growing the culture of quality beer in beautiful Naples. They take pride in providing the freshest beers made from ingredients of the highest quality. The Naples Beach Brewery is located in the heart of the trades area south of Golden Gate Parkway. Join us for a tasting and delicious food from the Porker BBQ food truck. Transportation to and from the Marriott will be provided. This family-friendly event was a hit in 2016!

The Boonshoft School of Medicine hosted its second annual W.E.L.L. (Welcome to Education, Life and Leisure) Weekend in Napa Valley, March 19-22, 2015. The Villagio Inn and Spa is nestled among the verdant rolling hills and vines of wine country and just steps from the dining tables of America's most celebrated chefs in the legendary Epicurean walking town of Yountville. The 2015 event featured a two-day CME symposium, a cooking demonstration at the Culinary Institute of America, a wine tasting at the V Wine Cellar and more!
