Benefits

Resident Parking: Parking at every training facility is highly accessible and free for residents. 

Educational Stipend: Residents will receive a $1,000 annual educational stipend to use on books, question banks, study resources, etc.

Research-based Funding: There is an additional fund available for residents to use on research-based endeavors, including presenting at conferences. 

Wright State Physicians also provides a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. 

Annual Salary

2026–2027

  • R1 (PGY 2) $68,182 ($5,682/month)
  • R2 (PGY 3) $69,888 ($5,824/month)
  • R3 (PGY 4) $72,946 ($6,079/month)

 

Dermatology Residents are compensated at one PGY level up due to the required transitional year of residency.

3% increase for 2026-2027 R1 to R3

Annual Stipend=(*80 hrs/week)*26 weeks

Monthly Stipend=Annual Stipend/12
