The Wright State University Plastic Surgery Residency Program offers two categorical (PGY-1) positions via the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) for our six-year Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency. It is your obligation to obtain this information from each program before you apply. You can access additional information about our residency program via the American Medical Association's FREIDA Online.

Register via the Electronic Resident Application System (ERAS) or through the Common Application (PSCA). Only electronic applications are accepted. You will need to provide:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Personal statement
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Medical Student Performance Evaluation (dean's letter) from your medical school
  • Official transcripts from your medical school

The deadline for receiving applications for academic year 2024-2025 is October 31, 2023.  We will follow the ACAPS Interview Policy.  We will be using  ERAS and PSCA this year. We do not accept applications received through the U.S. postal service and we do not sponsor any type of visa.

First consideration for the categorical position will be given to applicants with:

  • Minimum USMLE Step I score of 250
  • Research in progress or published
  • Class ranking in the upper quartile

Interviews

Interviews are extended to those applicants with credentials suggesting a strong candidacy for plastic surgery. Our 20203-2024 interview dates will be held on December 6, 2023 and January 10, 2024. Our institution requires virtual interviews and our program is interview with Thalamus.
