M.D. Commencement Ceremony – Class of 2026
Saturday, May 2, 2026
Ceremony begins at 3:30 p.m.

Wright State University Nutter Center

Students (Graduates)
Parking and Entry
- Park in Lot 9
- Enter through Gate 9
Arrival and Check-In
- Check-in begins at 1:30 p.m.
- Full regalia is required
Rehearsal and Pre-Ceremony Flow
- 2:00 p.m. – Students seated in the arena for rehearsal
- Following rehearsal, students will proceed to McLin Gym for:
- Class photo
- Hydration stations
- 3:15 p.m. – Processional line-up
- 3:30 p.m. – Ceremony begins
After the Ceremony
- Mandatory Graduate Checkout will take place in McLin Gym
- Please plan to meet family and friends outside the Nutter Center after checkout
- Diploma covers are distributed during the ceremony
- Official diplomas will be mailed following final transcript verification
- Alumni Relations gifts may be picked up following the ceremony
- All hospital badges must be returned to OSAA
Family and Friends
Parking
- Park in Lot 2
- Accessible parking is available in the same lot, with proximity to Gates 3 and 4
Arrival and Entry
- Guests should enter through Gates 2, 3, or 4
- General doors open at 2:30 p.m.
- Guests with floor-level accessible seating should arrive between 2:00–2:30 p.m.
Seating
- Seating is open and first-come, first-served
- Guests may not hold seats for their party
- Guests are not permitted on the arena floor at any time
- Guests will not be allowed into McLin Gym following the ceremony
After the Ceremony
- When the ceremony concludes, guests should exit through the nearest doors
- Meet graduates outside the Nutter Center, after Graduate Checkout
Guest Hooders
Parking and Entry
- Park in Lot 1
- Enter through the Berry Room (follow the large yellow sign)
Arrival and Check-In
- Arrive no later than 2 p.m.
- Rehearsal begins promptly at 2:15 p.m.
- Full regalia required
Rehearsal
- 2:15 p.m. – Hooder training (promptly)
Any Guest Hooder who arrives late or is not in full regalia will not be eligible to participate in commencement.
Faculty
Parking and Entry
- Park in Lot 1
- Enter through the Berry Room (follow the large yellow sign)
Arrival and Check-In
- Arrive between 2–2:30 p.m.
- Full regalia required
Rehearsal
- 2:15 p.m. – Hooder training (promptly)
Any Guest Hooder who arrives late or is not in full regalia will not be eligible to participate in commencement.
What to Bring / What Not to Bring
Permitted Items
- Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags not exceeding 12” x 6” x 12”
- One-gallon clear resealable bags (e.g., Ziploc)
Prohibited Items
- Backpacks and camera bags
- Non-clear fanny packs
- Purses larger than a small clutch
- Mesh or tinted bags
- Printed plastic bags
- Weapons of any kind
- Outside food or beverages
- Alcohol
- Illegal substances
- Fireworks or laser pointers
- Glitter or confetti
- Large professional photography equipment
- Large banners or signs that obstruct views
- Animals (except ADA-recognized service animals)
To ensure a comfortable and inclusive environment, excessive noise-making devices (such as air horns) are not permitted.
During the Ceremony
Photography and Video
- Personal photography and short videos are welcome from guest seating
- Large or professional equipment is not permitted
- Photography may not block aisles or disrupt the ceremony
- Guests may not access the arena floor for photography
- Professional photography will be provided by GradImages®
Pre-registration is required to receive a 20% discount. Search for “Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.”
Restrooms
- Restrooms are located throughout the main concourse
- Accessible restrooms are available
- Ushers and event staff can assist with directions
Accessibility and Assistance
- Accessible seating is available on the concourse level for guests with disabilities and up to three companions
- Limited floor-level accessible seating requires advance registration
- Guests with floor-level accessible seating must be seated by 2:30 p.m.
- Wheelchairs are available in limited quantity at Guest Services
- ADA-recognized service animals are permitted
- Closed captioning will be displayed on the jumbotron and side screens
