Raj Mitra, M.D., is the new dean of the Boonshoft School of Medicine and chief academic officer at Premier Health.

Dr. Gogi Kumar and Dr. Jon Williams have each been individually selected to receive the 2025 BSOM Faculty Seed Grants for their research in pediatric seizure occurrence and multiple sclerosis, respectively.

On December 3, 2024, the BSOM Office of Research Affairs and BSOM Chapter of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) hosted a Medical Student Research Seminar in White Hall.

The Executive Committee recently reviewed and approved an updated Artificial Intelligence policy, Policy 371, and the USMLE timing policy, Policy 431. The committee also approved an updated withdrawal policy, Policy 350, and rescinded the research incentive policy because BSOM follows the WSU research incentive program.
