Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine graduate embraces role of trailblazer

Olatunde Bashorun is the first African American male student from the Boonshoft School of Medicine to match into a competitive integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency program.

After four or more years of intense study and specialized training, 118 medical students received their medical degrees from Wright State’s Boonshoft School of Medicine during a graduation ceremony on April 28.

The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine will hold its spring 2024 graduation ceremony on Sunday, April 28, at 2 p.m. in the Wright State Nutter Center.
