Student Interest Group in Neurology

The Student Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN) at Boonshoft School of Medicine is a chapter of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN). Our mission is to motivate and foster student interest in the fields of neurology, neuroscience and neurosurgery.

SIGN regularly organizes panel discussions wherein students can interact with area neurologists and neurosurgeons. We strive to pursue research opportunities in the fields of neuroscience and neurosurgery for interested medical students.  Students interested in neurology can also avail themselves of the ample shadowing opportunities in the various Dayton area hospitals.

SIGN is also actively involved in various community outreach activities. SIGN student members participate yearly in Walk MS: Dayton, a charity fund raiser to end Multiple Sclerosis.
