Instructional Design
The Instructional Design (ID) process applies the objectives-instruction-assessment approach to teaching and is organized around helping students learn what is worthwhile for them.
Introduction
One of the key elements of ID is deciding what is most important for students to learn. Focusing on the skills and attitudes that are most important and finding a good balance between these major skills and the smaller foundational skills on which they are built.
The Process
The ID process has three major key elements:
- Objectives: deciding what students will learn
- Instruction: teaching it well
- Assessment: checking if the students have learned it
