Department of Pediatrics

Curriculum

The training and education for the PEM fellow will be individualized to accomplish the clinical, educational and research goals and objectives clearly set at the beginning of each year of training. Our goal is to train the PEM fellow to be able to practice independently during the third year of fellowship.

The PEM fellow will also be required to participate in the Dayton Children’s intermediate quality improvement class (IQIC), a nine-month course based on institute of health care improvement methodology. The fellow will lead and guide a quality improvement project with potential for publication.
