Curriculum
Rotation Schedules:
Experiences include pediatric neurology, inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry, partial hospitalization and consult-liaison psychiatry. Fellows have at least one continuity outpatient psychiatric clinic for the duration of fellowship as well as weekly psychotherapy and psychotherapy supervision. Other outpatient experiences include focus on transitional age or college mental health, intellectual developmental disability or other interests. There is time for research, administrative duties and electives. Electives may be blocks or longitudinal experiences. These experiences span throughout the two years of fellowship. Much of the inpatient or hospital work is done in the mornings with outpatient and psychotherapy work done in the afternoons. Currently, fellows do not take call and do not work weekends.
Didactics
Didactics are held on Tuesday afternoons, along with general psychiatry didactics. These include grand rounds with the psychiatry residency as well as fellowship-specific curricula. One highlight is psychotherapy case conference held weekly. Most didactics are F1s and F2s together, and some didactics include residents as well. Fellows help to teach medical students and residents in both didactic and clinical settings.
