Mission
The Division of Tactical and Law Enforcement Medicine (TaLEM) enables medical education, provides outreach through operational support to law enforcement agencies, provides invigorated education and training programs developed to meet local, regional, and national needs, and innovates medicine in the civilian tactical and law enforcement space to provide competent tactical medicine providers able to function in all law enforcement scenarios.

Medical Education
TaLEM provides essential training in tactical casualty care to the Wright State University Integrated Emergency Medicine Residency Program. All residents receive basic instruction on TaLEM medical approach and procedures during their orientation block and recurrent instruction throughout residency. TaLEM also supports tactical medicine training events for the Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine Emergency Medicine Interest Group.
Community Outreach and Operational Support
TaLEM provides operational medicine support to multiple organizations and agencies in the Greater Miami Valley, including local and regional Special Response Teams.
