Meet Dr. Katherine Hertlein, new Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Professional Development

Dr. Katherine Hertlein started her role as the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Professional Development on July 1. Dr. Hertlein received her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Purdue University Calumet and her Ph.D. in human development with a specialization in marriage and family therapy from Virginia Tech. Across her academic career (18 years at the university of Nevada, Las Vegas), she has published over 100 articles, book chapters, and 12 books in the areas of couple's therapy, personality disorders, intimate partner violence, sexuality, pediatric therapy, and the role of technology in couples and families. According to the Dean-Team's Elucidating Corner, Kat is originally from Chicago and enjoys deep dish pizza, painting, and watching Cary Grant movies.
