Reserve Fund

For the academic year 2009-2010, Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine is pleased to announce the establishment of a CME Reserve Fund. The intent of this fund is to support the development of innovative educational initiatives and topics. Support for accredited CME activities will be offered for speaker honoraria ($500 each, plus travel up to $500) and performance improvement activities ($1,000 each).

Funds will become available July 1, 2009 until exhausted.

Speaker Honoraria

Speaker honoraria of $500 and travel expenses up to an additional $500 will be provided for innovative CME activities which meet the following criteria:

  • The topic should address an identifiable practice gap, demonstrated by a timely needs assessment;
  • The objectives should address specific clinical performance criteria, demonstrated by targeted participant evaluation items;
  • The speaker must be invited from an outside institution. (Honoraria will not be provided to WSU Faculty.)

To apply for speaker honoraria support, please submit the requested amount, CME activity topic, specific needs assessment, objectives, evaluation criteria and CV of the speaker to the CME program at least four weeks prior to the presentations.
