WrightCurriculum Class Accolades (for students graduating in 2025 and beyond)

Students can earn accolades of academic distinction in three ways:

  1. Excellence Across Foundations
    • An ‘Excellence Across Foundations’ designation for the Foundations years will be awarded to students who demonstrate sustained superior performance in the Foundations courses.
    • ‘Excellence Across Foundations’ shall be awarded to no more than 25% of the class
    • Criteria for ‘Excellence Across Foundations’ can include final exam scores (including NBME final exams), OSCEs, and CBSEs

    Excellence in Foundations will be determined by the following for the classes of 2025 and beyond:

  2. Honors in Clerkship courses
    • To be eligible to receive Honors for a clerkship and Clinical Medicine Doctoring, students must consistently exceed expectations for professional behavior and clinical performance during the clerkship.
  3. Excellence Across Clerkships in the Doctoring Year
  • Students who receive Honors in a clerkship/module will be submitted to the Director of Assessment by Doctoring clerkship/module directors at the end of each clerkship block/module
  • The Director of Assessment and Evaluation will compile a list of students who have been nominated for honors grades by one or more clerkships/modules, sorted by students who have been nominated for honors grades by the most clerkships/modules
  • Doctoring year clerkship/module directors will meet at the end of Doctoring to review the students who have been nominated by multiple clerkships/modules
  • An ‘Excellence Across Clerkships’ designation for the Doctoring year will be awarded to students who demonstrate sustained superior performance in the Doctoring year
    • ‘Excellence Across Clerkships’ in the Doctoring year shall be awarded to no more than 25% of the class
