Nick is a board-certified emergency physician and board-eligible medical toxicologist. His clinical and academic interests include acute withdrawal management, novel psychoactive substances, cardiovascular drug toxicity management, and the intersection of medical toxicology and addiction medicine. He enjoys teaching while continuing to learn from colleagues and patients. Nick is excited to return to Wright State to complete his addiction medicine fellowship and further develop the skills needed to care for patients in all stages of recovery.

Personal Interests and Hobbies:

Outside of work, Nick enjoys long-distance running, playing volleyball, visiting National Parks, baking, and watching movies.

Dr. Thatcher is a Board Certified Family Physician. She is also a licensed counselor and has worked in the fields of education, mental health, long-term care, and food service in the past. Dr. Thatcher is passionate about preventative care, advocacy, women’s health, LGBTQ+ healthcare, harm-reduction strategies, mental health care, reducing stigma, rural health, clinical research, and caring for patients in underserved communities. She looks forward to learning how to better serve patients with substance use disorders in the coming year.

Personal Interests and Hobbies:

Spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, volunteering, yoga, attending plays and concerts, and traveling when time allows.
