Family Health

The rural clinic home, Family Health Services of Darke County (FHS), is a federally qualified health systems whose history goes back to 1964 and caring for migrant farm workers.  It’s main site in Greenville houses optometry, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and on-site lab and xray services.  In order to better serve citizens throughout the county, there are three additional family medicine sites in Arcanum, New Madison, and Versailles, all of which are less than a 30-minute drive from Greenville.  Family Health is recognized as a Patient Centered Medical Home by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc.

Family Health has a strong history of education.  In addition to regularly hosting students in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and other health programs for clinical rotations, FHS also has a dental residency and pharmacy residency program.  The variety of both providers and learners allows for interprofessional patient appointments and education to occur as a normal business practice.

Family Health has its own pharmacy and lab on-site in Greenville and also has the capacity to do basic imaging.  It participates in 340B drug pricing, allowing its patients access to prescription medication and other services, regardless of patients’ ability to pay.  Family Health offers Medical Assisted Treatment (MAT) for patients with opioid use disorder and even has a dietician on staff!  Family Health strives to keeps its services broad and robust in order to meet the needs of its community and it mission: Building Healthy Live Together.
