Preventative medicine, academic medicine, patient advocacy, and the business of medicine. Outside of medicine he enjoys teaching economics at Wright State University’s Raj Soin College of Business, where he has been faculty since 2016.

Spending time with his wife and family, outdoorsmanship, running long distance, walks with his dogs, and any novel by Stephen King.

As a third-generation veteran, he is intent on serving his fellow veterans. He desires to improve quality and access to healthcare while eliminating healthcare inequalities for the community. He has a particular interest in pain management and addiction medicine.

Josh is a father of four children and enjoys spending as much time playing with them as possible. He enjoys everything outdoors and active, including fishing, hunting, running, weightlifting, and coaching athletes.

Dr. Patel chose family medicine because she loves the diversity that comes with the specialty along with building long-lasting relationships with her patients. Preventive medicine is a big interest of hers and she hopes to focus on quality of life as she progresses through her career.

Baking, dancing, exploring new coffee shops, and spending time with her loved ones

Since her teenage years, she has been actively involved in community support, assisting immigrant families both in the Netherlands and Ohio. Driven by her desire to aid immigrant families in healthcare settings, she earned certification as an English-Turkish medical interpreter. Dr. Dereci aims to enhance care for female patients by pursuing a fellowship in Women's Health.

Dr. Trujillo chose family medicine in order to learn, interact, and connect with patients in his community. He hopes to build off of his experience volunteering in community clinics throughout medical school to connect with Spanish-speaking and underrepresented patients in Dayton. He also has a passion for addiction medicine and addressing mental health in the primary care setting.
