Gary LeRoy, M.D., Wright State University School of Medicine Class of 1988, WSU Family Medicine Residency (Miami Valley Hospital) Class of 1991 and current associate dean of Student Affairs and Admissions and associate professor of family medicine at the medical school, was featured on WHIO-TV’s Making a Difference Spotlight in the News on Feb. 28.
A Dayton native, LeRoy is a staff physician at Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton/East Dayton Health Center. Under his leadership, the East Dayton Health Center has grown into a vital health care delivery site for the underserved Dayton community. He also sees patients at Reach Out of Montgomery County, a free clinic for the underserved and underinsured.

Teresa W. Zryd, M.D., Wright State University School of Medicine Class of 1995, Dayton Community Family Practice Residency Class of 1998, was the former program director of the WSU Family Medicine Residency Program and she currently is the Vice President of Academic Affairs for Premier Health, and serves as a team physician for the University of Dayton. Every U.D. athlete is required to have a physical examination from a team physician prior to participation in their intercollegiate sport. The final decision regarding physical qualification, reasons for disqualifications and return to play after injury is the responsibility of the team physicians.
