M.P.H. Student Research Presentations
M.P.H. graduate students present their capstone research at an annual department poster session. Students present their research at local and state conferences and have the option to work toward paper publication.

Factors Impacting Medication Adherence in People Being Treated for Depression
Jessica Rechtorovic, M.P.H.
Jessica Rechtorovic, M.P.H. ’24 investigated rates of medication non-adherence for major depressive disorder in her applied epidemiology class. Her work highlights the important factors related to the treatment of mental health diagnoses. She was awarded the 2024 M.P.H. Student Excellence Award for this research.

A Photovoice Exploration of the Perspectives of Global Health Learners on Reproductive Care
Araam Abboud, M.D., M.P.H., M.S.
M.D./M.P.H. student Araam Abboud traveled to Tanzania during her M.P.H. studies and documented the experience through a Photovoice project. Araam received the Trustees Award for Excellence at the Wright State University 2025 Celebration of Research for this work.
