Global Health Scholars – take your passion to the next level with a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree!
M.D. students enrolled in the Global Health Scholars Program (GHSP) at Boonshoft School of Medicine are eligible to receive graduate level M.P.H. credit for their GHSP coursework.

Complete a structured global health travel experience during your M.P.H. graduate year.

Timeline
Years 1-3 –M.D. Curriculum
- Enroll in the Global Health Scholars Program during your M1 year.
- Deepen your medical expertise and set the stage for leadership.
Year 4 –M.P.H. Degree
- Pursue your M.P.H. degree through one year (3 semesters) of dedicated coursework.
- Complete a global health applied practice experience.
- Contribute to global health studies through a capstone research project.
Year 5 –Dual-Degree Completion
- Finish your M.D. studies.
- Earn an M.D., M.P.H., and Global Health Graduate Certificate.

Araam Abboud (M.P.H.’25, M.D.’26) is a Global Health Scholar enrolled in the M.P.H. program. Araam traveled with the department of Population and Public Health Services to Tanzania as a part of both her M.P.H. and GHSP curriculum.
